The high-performance milling train SF06 FFS Plus has the advantage of producing a high shift performance due to the high working speed, the high material removal, its large chip container volume and the two sequential arranged milling units on each side. The rail milling train is operated in two shifts, with the day shift preparing the rail milling train for the operation during the night shift in accordance with maintenance schedules that must strictly be followed.

The area of application is on the mainline railways of European countries. The SM1 (built in 2013) has so far worked for Deutsche Bahn, SBB, Infrabel and ÖBB.
